    User Management

    In order to submit support cases, end users must be registered in CRM with the permissions to create cases. There are two ways to allow users to create Velosio Support Request Records in Business Central but limit the users who can send cases to CRM:

    • Velosio Support User Setup
    • Support Request Approval Workflows

    Velosio Support User Setup

    Velosio Support User Setup can be used to limit which users can submit support cases when using the Velosio Support App in Business Central. This configuration is optional to use. If there are no users configured on the Velosio Support User Setup page, then the system will assume all users can create cases. Once one user is configured, the system will expect all users to be configured in Velosio Support User Setup to determine if they can send submit cases through the app.

    FIELD NAME FUNCTION
    User ID Specify the User ID.
    Company Name Specify the company. Can be left blank if they can or cannot submit cases in all companies.
    Submit Support Cases Specify if the user can submit cases.

    Support Request Approval Workflows

    Support Request Approval Workflows can be configured from Workflow Templates when configured users will send an approval request and the support request will automatically be submitted once approved through the approval workflow.

    How-to: Create a new Support Request Approval Workflow

    1. Search for Workflow Templates and select the related link.

    2. Select the Support Request Approval Workflow under Integrations and on the menu go to New/New Workflow from Template

    3. The new workflow will open. In the workflow steps, find the When Event for Approval of a support request is requested. and click into the Then Response for Add a record restriction

    4. Select the response for Create an approval request and in the Options for the Selected Response select the appropriate approval type for the workflow. More information regarding approval workflows can be found here.

    5. Click OK to close the Workflow Response and Enable the workflow to begin using it.
